I am leaving in two days for Tanzania. I'm mostly packed, mostly prepared, and very excited! This semester has been years in the making, and I can't believe it's here. I'll be spending the majority of the spring studying sustainable development and volunteering in rural Tanzania through an organization called Amizade. We will be living in Kayanga, in the Karagwe district. If you search Kayanga, Tanzania on Google maps, it'll give you an idea of where our town is. Our program begins February 7th, so I'll be spending the two weeks leading up to then exploring Moshi and the surrounding area, and climbing Kilimanjaro.
